02 Nov How to ensure the perfect pricing for your customers
We pride ourselves in giving you lots of flexibility when it comes to pricing for your customers. This is because we know that no two firms are the same. Zoom’s pricing comes with a variety of options allowing you to utilise our technology best for your company.
The two core types of pricing are ‘fixed’ and ‘meter’.
Fixed Pricing can be used in two ways: either set up between two locations, or by simply accepting a price given on the booking panel, and choosing to set that as the price which is sent to the driver.
To set up a price between two locations, head to our Fixed Pricing page. On here you will see a map on which you can utilise a search function. From here, create your areas by clicking on the map, and then simply set the price between two locations.
Our Meter pricing is determined by three main factors. These can all be edited on the Mileage Pricing page of the dispatcher.
– ‘Price per Minute’ allows you to choose an amount by which the meter will increase for each minute that the passenger is in the car. If you prefer to base your fares on just mileage, then you can set this to 0.
– ‘Mileage Pricing’ is where you can set prices per mile. Using a table, the Zoom system ensures that there is never a mile that is unaccounted for. You can set all miles to be the same price, or create as many tiers as you like, so each mile of the journey can vary.
– ‘Minimum Price’ allows you to ensure that a price is never unacceptably low. If the fare meter (based on mileage and time pricing) has not reached the price you have set here, then the customer will automatically be charged the minimum price.
Our final section is Uplift Pricing. We know that of course you don’t want to charge the same for an Executive Car as a Car! And we know that there may be times of day during which you would like to charge passengers more. This is why on Uplift Pricing, you can use a simple table to set the percentage increase you would like for a vehicle. So if your base rate is £10, a 50% uplift would allow it to cost £15 in an Executive Car.
Furthermore, we know that your passengers may be concerned about exactly where their money is going. This is why we provide email receipts with the breakdown cost for every passenger! They will know exactly how much of their fare is for time and distance, as well as being informed if there is a minimum price.
So make your interactions with your passengers smooth and successful, and have the flexibility to set up the pricing exactly how you want it: sign up for a 2 week free trial of Zoom today and try this out!
